Today, I got a chance to see the clinic and meet the other dentists and assistants at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center Dental Clinic. Afterwards, Tiffany and I rented a car for the next few weeks until ours arrives. Much to oururprise, we were given a Mercedes Benz C220! They even gave us a great rate, (less than $50 per day) since they were out of the mid-sized car we requested.
After picking up our car, we stopped next door for another stellar German meal. The portions were enormous and could have fed a family of 4. They offered a challenge that included drinking 3 L of beer and eating a 3lb schnitzel, needless to say, we both passed. I fell in love with the Jagerschnitzel (fried pork cutlet with bacon and mushrooms in a brown sauce).

We decided to take our car on a little adventure on the Autobahn. Who knew I would be driving a Mercedes Benz on the Autobahn on my birthday?!
The weather here is much like the beginning of fall in Virginia, hot and humid one day, and then cool and sunny the next.
The night ended with taking Oliver for a drive into Landstuhl and sharing a Donner Kabab, followed by gelato and coffee. We returned to the hotel to celebrate and share a bottle of local German wine. Tomorrow we move into our temporary housing apartment in the town of Landstuhl across from the train station.
